The journey starts from the region of Ruka-Kuusamo in northern Lakeland. The first stop is restaurant Kataja located in the midst of the unique glass villas at Magical Pond. At Kataja, you can try local flavours and admire the surrounding nature and its animals from the wall-to-ceiling windows.

Travel tip:

After visiting the Ruka-Kuusamo region, head north towards Saariselkä and Inari. The drive north up to Lapland takes about 5 hours.
